Te Kopahau Reserve Public Information Centre is located on the South Coast of Wellington at the old Owhiro Bay Quarry site. Construction incorporated part of the old Owhiro Bay Quarry Building and features information panels highlighting the geology, flora, fauna and the history of the South Coast. Such an exposed site as this, requires a robust cladding system suited to this harsh marine environment. Therefore the architects specified Aquaheat Classic Metal 0.7mm, VM Quartz Zinc Hook Seam cladding system. Classic Metal’s specialist roofing and cladding systems come from a family of metal cladding systems, based on proven traditional European metal seaming methods. These specialist systems coupled with a highly corrosion resistant material like zinc, result in the perfect cladding system to stand up to this harsh environment.
